UNSUIKYO sources natural materials from all over the world. Combined with a meticulous manufacturing process, the brand is able to ensure that each pair is beautifully unique. Here’s a summary of some of the materials they source and from where:
- Slate – Jiangxi, China
Slate is a fine and flat material that’s easy to maintain due to the fact it doesn’t expand or contract with heat and cold. It’s wear-resistant, and will turn brownish gray after weathering.
- Golden Granite – Brazil
Golden Granite is part of the granite family and is characterized by its iridescent but natural golden colour. With high pressure resistance, this material can be worn outdoors and will not wear out over time.
- Granite Slabs – Shandong, China
Granite has a distinct mineral crystals mixed into the material, which creates a very nice texture. It won’t be weathered easily, and the colour will last for more than 100 years.
- Macassar Ebony – Indonesia
Macassar Ebony is a type of wood known for its strength and durability. With a clear, glossy texture, ebony is a great material for glasses and is also used around the world for furniture and handmade crafts.
- Walnut – Eastern United Stats
Walnut is a wood type that’s smooth and fine. Well-known for being used to make pianos and to decorate the interior of luxury cars, walnut is hard and dense, making it suitable for glasses as well.
