What Qualifies Someone As An Optometrist In Victoria, BC?

An optometrist is an individual who specializes in eyes. They are required to be licensed, which is granted only after completing a Doctor’s of Optometry education as well as practicum experience. This can typically take seven to eight years. Additionally, each candidate must successfully pass an exam in their respective province as well as a national exam, which allows them to register with the College of Optometrists of British Columbia  – the governing body for optometrists in BC. Regular professional development is also required by optometrists to ensure they are kept up-to-date with new findings and among other things like regulations etc..
